Tonight we have a truly exceptional band. The Alcatraz house band and I’ve decided it might be a good time for a party.

We Finally have a summer and it’s a hot one.
It’s important to keep cool in this heat, so we’d recommend having some of our ice cold pub. It’s nice and cool in the Tuns and remember we have a beer garden, so you can soak up the sun and enjoy a cold beer among good people.

Wednesday 24th – Buskers with Russ Tippins.
Friday 26th @ 9pm – Tubesnake (Doors, Rem, Bowie) We know you love them. Free Entry.
Saturday 27th @ 9pm – Alcatraz House Band (Zeppelin, AC/DC). Basically they rock. Free Entry.
Sunday Evening is Jam With The Band time. Get up play, sing etc. Hosted by Michael Rolf.
In addition to great live music, we have lots of ice cold beer – perfect for cooling down on a hot summer’s day.

You might have heard that the Tuns now has a sister pub, the Schooner.
This weekend should be great at both The Tuns and The Schooner.
Tonight at The Tuns it’s Bessie and the Zinc Buckets and at At The Schooner from 8pm it’s Outlaw Ian Cockburn Acoustic classics.
Saturday in the Tuns, it’s the UK number 1 Oasis tribute LOADED playing all the Definitely Maybe album, while at The Schooner we have a Soul and Mowtown disco on the terrace from 7pm.
Sunday it’s all about The Schooner. Give our fabulous Sunday lunch a try and stay around and see the brilliant STAX BROS on the terrace from 4.30.
This Friday, 29th June, Bucketmania will invade the Tuns. The amazing Bessie and the Zinc Buckets will be bringing their unique rockabilly style back to Gateshead.
True northeast legends, they can’t be missed!
