A new live music showcase will be premiering in Gateshead this April, which will aim to show off local talent. As well as connecting unsigned artists with music industry professionals.

The Sonorous Showcase’ is the first part in a series of events which hopes to attract not only local music fans, but also regional up and coming artists and established music-business moguls. With a selection of music industry guests set to be invited on the night. The launch night is due to take place at ‘The Three Tuns’ music venue in Gateshead. An iconic and much loved local venue that is known for putting on top notch talent in the punk and alternative genre.

There will be a total of six acts playing on the night, with infamous, noisey grunge-rockers ‘Creature’ headlining the show. The hard-hitting trio from Newcastle have built quite a name for themselves in the north-east recently, with locals seeing them play slots at the O2 Academy and supporting big indie names like ‘INHEAVEN’.

The next notable act playing is ‘Thin White Line’, a post-political punk unit from hartlepool, who are dead set on causing some carnage, with the showcase being the launch of their new single.

Four other brand new north east acts will also be supporting these two, with lots of raw talent on offer.
